Blessing of Change

Bless this day and all who live it
open my eyes to ways of helping
give my heart over to my humanity
connect my spirit and my powers
spur my best self into action
I bless this day and all who live it
touching one heart spreads joy
sharing freely expands my heart
listening to others opens my mind
respecting others fuels my hope
I bless this day and all who live it
in small ways I am growing wise
in quiet ways I am learning now
in openness my spirit grows strong
in sharing, my life makes sense
I bless this day and all who live it
the essence in you is my essence
knowing our similarities frees me
feeling the sameness at our cores
unites us all as family of billions
I bless this day and all who live it
I reach out in kindness and spirit
you may learn to reach back in time
if I keep true and strong to being
the change I want to see in the world
Bless this day and all who live it

Universal Divine

 ~ Abby Willowroot © 2008
I am better than my own prejudices
my heart is deeper than my own pettyness
my true spirit seeks the balance of harmony
my journey as a human can unite me with all

In our hearts, the eternal divine dwells
I call it by one name of my understanding
you call it by another name
and others call it by other names
the different names do not matter
divine is divine is divine and eternal
It has names beyond counting
each name is true and sacred

We are divided only by our own prejudices
threatened by our own fears of the unlimited
we see the indivisible power of spiritual eternity
and divide it into manageable bits of understanding
leaving the greater truths beyond our feeble grasp
clinging to a few facets of the unlimited divine
and defend our facets as the whole truth
the only truth we dare to see and accept

May my heart be open to understand more
open to celebrate the facets held sacred by others
knowing that their truth is as true as mine
each path and every  path  to the divine is sacred
and deserving of my deepest respect
call it God, Energy or something else
all names of the divine are true
sacred, eternal and magic

Prayer for Release from Addiction

by Abby Willowroot © 2008
Addiction has seized my soul
and I am in pain . . . hollow inside
control of myself and my life is gone
but, I pretend  that I am still in control
fear and rage mingle inside me,
pushing anyone who loves me away
isolating me in my prison of drugs
a prison of regret, shame and grief
I live in the past  . . . and I live in the future
right now is a nightmare . . . and I can’t wake up
Release me from my own addiction
open my heart to hope and life
open my eyes to see I can escape into recovery
make me dare to be willing . . . to let go of drugs
to let go of fear . . . self hatred  . . .and shame
help me let go of hopelessness
help me let go of people who drag me down
I want to leave people who use drugs behind
help me recognize those who really love me
and cling to them for dear life . . . for my life
help me to know that I can have a different life
a happy life . . . a dope free life . . . with hope

Today I will sleep . . . as much as I need to
today I will eat . . . and nurture my body
today I will wash my body, and hair
today I will brush my teeth and get dressed
today, I will do one thing , that is  . . .”normal”

I will fight to trust myself . . . to be able to do
these simple things to help myself
and begin my return to sanity
A different life . . . worth living, is waiting for me
life is . . . waiting for me to put down the drugs
life is . . . waiting for me to believe I can change
life is . . . waiting for me to allow myself to win,
life is . . . ready to help me to allow myself to smile, to feel hope,
I want this life . . .  I will have to fight like hell to get to

I am willing, I am willing, I am willing to win
I am willing to be strong enough . . . to walk away
I am ready to be strong enough . . . to ask for help
I am ready to put down the drugs . . . that are killing me
I want to be free . . . of drugs and delusions

Help me to be willing . . . to change
May my courage grow, and my spirit soar
my heart open . . .  my fears grow weaker
I am ready for a life . . . without drugs

I pray . . . help me to help myself today
awaken me . . . from this nightmare hell
Help my heart to know  . . . that hope is possible
and grow that hope within me . . . now !!!

I am ready . . . I am ready . . . I am ready . . .
to heal my body . . . my mind . . . my spirit . . . my life
drugs are my past . . . they are NOT my future
for today . . . I will not use drugs
today . . . I am becoming whole
today . . . I am becoming my best self
one step at a time . . . one second at a time
one thought at a time . . . one action at a time
I am escaping this loaded nightmare from hell

Prayer to Isis

Isis of the moon, great Egyptian Mother Goddess, Ye who are all that ever was, all that is, and that shall be, come veiled Queen of the Night, come as the scent of the sacred lotus.

Charging my circle with love and magick, do descend upon my circle I pray of Thee.

Blessed be.

Woman’s Prayer

Great Spirit, I am Mother.
I was made by You so that the image of Your love
Could be brought into existence.
May I always carry with me
The sacredness of this honour.

Creator, I am Daughter.
I am the learner of the Traditions.
May I carry them forward
So that the Elders and Ancestors
Will be remembered for all time.

Through me, may my brothers be shown
The manner in which I am to be respected.
May I join with my sisters in strength and power as a Healing Shield
So that they will no longer bear the stain of abuse.

Niskam, I am Committed Partner:
One who shares her spirit,
But is wise to remember never to give it away,
Lest it become lost,
And the two become less than one.

I am Woman.
Hear me.

Witch Vow

by Leo Matrello

Here me, help me, Holy One,

My witch life has just begun.

I dedicate myself to thee,

My faith shall be fierce and free.

Make me worthy, make me wise,

Liberate me from all lies.

Guide me in thy Goddess light,

Illuminate each dark night.

I light the candle, I taste the wine,

I purify the air with incense fine.

I make the pentagram with my knife,

I declare my witchhood with my life.

I offer myself in naked truth,

Grant me wisdom and the joy of youth.

Upon thy altar my soul is bare,

I leave myself in thy loving care.

Traditional Buddhist Prayer.

The beauty of this prayer spoke to us with great directness and simplicity. May we all take its message into our hearts, so we can become clearer channels for love.
Oneness of Life and Light,
Entrusting in your Great Compassion,
May you shed the foolishness in myself,
Transforming me into a conduit of Love.
May I be a medicine for the sick and weary,
Nursing their afflictions until they are cured;
May I become food and drink,
During time of famine,
May I protect the helpless and the poor,
May I be a lamp,
For those who need your Light,
May I be a bed for those who need rest,
and guide all seekers to the Other Shore.
May all find happiness through my actions,
and let no one suffer because of me.
Whether they love or hate me,
Whether they hurt or wrong me,
May they all realize true entrusting,
Through Other Power,
and realize Supreme Nirvana.

The LightWorker’s Prayer

“I choose to stay centered in the awareness of love, God, and my true self. In this center, like the eye of a hurricane, all is tranquil, safe, and peaceful. My power, wisdom, and peace comes from staying in this center, and I ask for spiritual support from God and His angels to keep my mind aligned with the truth.

I willingly detach from the material world, know that that by so doing, I can effectively heal others. I trust God to provide my every need, and I allow His omnipotent wisdom to direct me in all ways.

I accept a steady diet of love and joy, knowing that I deserve happiness and health. I willingly and lovingly release all ego judgments about myself and other people, knowing that everything I want comes from my decision to experience the oneness of all life.

I know I am meant to be a healer and a teacher for God, and I now accept my mission fully without delay or reservation. I surrender all behaviors that would block me from hearing my inner voice, and I happily trust my inner guide to lead me along the lightworker’s way, where I joyfully serve as an instrument of love. I release any doubts or fears I may have about fulfilling my Divine mission, and I now commit to staying aware of my inner Voice of God. I know that this is the only tool I will ever need for my own healing and the healing of the world.

From the book “The LightWorker’s Way” by Doreen Virtue.

We all have a creator. This prayer is beautiful and wise in its statement. I use this one frequently because of all the healing work I do for myself and for others around the world. Instead of saying Amen I say Aho. This is my own special way. So change the wording for you as only you know who your creator is and what feels good and right to your spirit. I respect all religions and feel that this is very important to do as God, Goddess, Great Spirit, Creator and all are present in our daily lives.

I welcome your sharing your prayers or affirmations within this group.

Sending rainbow spirals of healing love, light, energy and protection to you and yours.

Much Love,
Susan ~ Dancing Butterfly

The Lady’s Prayer

Our Mother who art all things,
Our Lady who art the moon, sun, and heavens,
Hallowed be thy name
By thy sovereignty of the sacred land,
Thy divine will be done
On Earth as it is in all realms
Give us this day our daily bread
Bless and guide us, Great Goddess
And protect us from all harm and evil
For thine is the power, beauty, and love
Forever, and a day. Ayea!

Morning Prayer to The Elements

Air to inspire,
Fire to bring desire,
Water as my healer,
Earth as my church.
I call upon you
To bless this day anew.
So mote it be.
